Stacey Mann, a learning scientist and expert in designing for human rights learning, has advised Unsilence since its founding.
Stacey is an award-winning exhibit and education experiences designer with 20 years experience in the museum field. She holds her Masters in Learning Sciences from Northwestern University and is a Senior Lecturer in Media for Museum Interpretation at University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
Stacey sits on the editorial board of Exhibition: The Journal of Museum Exhibition for the American Association of Museums. She consults broadly with museums and cultural institutions on how best to engage audiences both onsite and online, and advocates an inquiry-based and user-centered design approach that she applies to her work in digital media interaction design, exhibit development, and interpretive planning. Her areas of expertise include the pedagogical design of learning environments, public interpretation of human rights and social justice issues, social and cultural capital in museums, and the intersection of civic engagement with media literacy.
